My current skin care routine

I’m probably not the only person who suffers from “grass is greener syndrome” – Every time a new product is released I’m totally won over by the awesome ads and pictures of people who couldn’t possible have so few pores/lines/spots etc… and I end up buying and trying new goodies
I’ve been good recently and have stuck to the same products for ages; they seem to be working well for my skin and I guess that’s all I can really ask of them :)
Morning products
Clean & Clear Fast Action Daily Wash
Clinique All About Eyes

To remove my makeup : St Ives Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes / Bourjois Maxi Format eye makeup remover

I'm a sucker for anything new and shiny, but this year I'm being super strong and not buying anything until I've used what I have. IT'S SO HAAAAARD.

beckiangel44, Paula Begoun says on Beautypedia that L'Oreal Youth Code Serum is "almost identical" to Lancome's Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate, so that might be a cheaper option to try - especially since L'Oreal owns Lancome.

You really have great skin Joy! If I can get skin as good as yours, I don't mind using these much on an everyday basis too! XD Anyway, was watching Michelle Phan's video on layering face products at night routine and read from a comment, someone said that too much products aren't good for the skin (?)..there's no explanation though..have you ever heard of such a thing?
anyway, nice products! I use the same toner, moisturizer and eye cream every.single.day, morning-night..XXD Eucerin is on my list next! ^^

i tend to stick to products that work for skincare but lately i've also been trying new products because my skin is becoming dull.

Thanks for all your comments! The jury is still out on the Genifique – makes my skin feel really soft when I first apply it but I haven’t quite decided if it’s worth the money…

Dee I’d heard the same thing so had a wee nosy at the ingredients list for Genifique and Youth Code and they’re shockingly similar! I paid £54 for the Lancome stuff and saw the Youth Code for £12.50, guess we really do pay for the brand, eh? Also, I’ve heard a lot of people say neither actually improve your skin long term (totally hope they’re wrong of course!) so I’ll probably opt for the Youth Code when I run out of what I’m using :)

aisyah De Cullen thank you very much! I’ve had seriously bad acne for about 5 years and it’s only cleared up recently so having someone say my skin is good is absolutely awesome! (we’ll not mention the little acne scars around my chin) I guess it would make sense that too many products could end up clogging your pores and causing build up on the skin but then it’s really hard to know what to believe! One minute we’re told something is great for our skin and the next week we’re told to avoid it at all costs. I reckon it’s really just trial and error and word of mouth! At least half of my favourite products were recommended by girls who already use them ♥
