Incredimazing mascara for £2.50

This was one of those impulse purchases that I’ve been trying to cut back on…

I’ve liked a few different makeup products from Primark so decided to give this a try cos I liked the look of the wand. It’s quite similar to L'Óreals Telescopic Explosion which is around £11 in Boots and Givenchys Phenomen`eyes mascara which is around £20 in House of Fraser. I’ve wanted to try each of these mascaras for a while but didn’t wanna spend the pennies as they seem a bit gimmicky, but with the Primark one only costing £2.50 I just had to try it out
So far I really really like it! The formula was usable from the very first day (I normally open a mascara, find it too wet, then leave it for a couple of weeks before trying it again) and it coats the lashes brilliantly. One thing I found awkward was the actual line of bristles on the wand – when I tried using them the ball was in the way so I’ve just been using the ball to do my whole lash line… and the best thing is that it gets all the ickle bottom lashes that I didn’t even realise I had!
The colour is properly dark and I haven’t had any problems with clumping or flaking so it’s definitely the best £2.50 I’ve spent in a while :)

Free Jemma Kidd lip glosses

Don’t you just love when magazines give away genuinely awesome freebies? I took a walk to the shop on my lunch hour today cos it was much too nice out to stay indoors and spotted Red magazine with… Get this!… Free Jemma Kidd lip glosses!!! There are 3 different shades and I’ll probably end up buying them all but today I only got my favourite which is a delicious nude shade called Petal (17) Considering these are normally £14 each it was nice to get the gloss and a mag for £3.80
Just about to get a nice cool shower before I call to Adryens and I think I’ll debut my new gloss :) Hmmm…Is it sad that I’m gonna do my makeup even though we’ll just be lying around watching episodes of QI and Dexter?

Feeling summery and, er, blue?

I cant believe it’s 8.52pm and it’s still sunny outside!! Seriously, even at the height of summer here in Belfast that almost never happens; but at the start of June?! It’s a miracle. And definitely a sign that I should start wearing bright summery shades on my nails. Dunno if blue actually qualifies as a summer shade but it makes me cheery and I cant really ask for more than that! :)

I think I’ve bought about 5 or 6 new foundations this month not to mention quite a few blushes… yet I haven’t bothered picking up a new cleanser and now I’ve completely run out of my usual one. Grrr!! :( Been thinking of trying something new but it’s hard to know where to start. Have you noticed how all the different cosmetics companies seem to think their products are the best on the market? (funny that, eh?) Kinda makes it hard to choose!!

Estee Lauder Double Wear (shade 2) I've loved the regular Double Wear for so long that I just had to buy the light version - enjoying it so far but havent completely made up my mind yet

Accessorize Lip Glosses in Temptation, Startlet and Magical. Only discovered these a few weeks back but they are already firm favourites. They actually smell, feel and taste as good as they look :)

Pretty Pink Polishes

Evening all! Hope you’re having a nice week so far… I’m already counting down the minutes till the weekend because this week has been soooo long already

Just wanted to mention a few pink nail polishes I’ve worn over the last couple of weeks! They’re ones that I always go back to cos they are really easy to apply and I’m a bit of a clumsy oaf at the best of times so that’s a pretty important factor when I’m choosing a nail polish :)
