bathroom essentials and a little favour

Good evening all and Happy Friday to you! I can’t tell you how pleased I am that the weekend is finally here. Though I’ve kinda given mine up to look after my 1 year old nephew so my sister can go out n celebrate her birthday tomorrow. More on that in a mo...

I know this might seem like an odd post, partly cos pictures of almost empty bottles arent exactly entertaining but as you can see I’ve almost run out of all my basic bathroom essentials!

I’m going shopping on Sunday and shall be bringing my aforementioned nephew along with me so I’ll be in and out of the shops as quickly as possible, which is where all you lovely people come in :)

I don’t wanna spend ages wandering round aimlessly looking for new products to try (especially whilst pushing a pram) so I was hoping you could recommend your favourites! I need shampoo, conditioner, body scrub and a body wash so if there’s any you’re particularly fond of please mention them below! It would be greatly appreciated because I'd love to try out a few new things - don't usually stick with one brand or product for too long!

Hope you have a totally fantastic weekend :)

Hey! I don't know what you have already tried but Aussie Hair Care is nice or Something from the John Frieda range? I went into The Body Shop the other day and they are having a sale on some of their body scrubs, washes and butters, I got the rasberry and it smells so yum! Good luck finding something and hope you have a great weekend :)

hmm I don't know if in your country there's the same brands as here in Portugal, but I'll tell you my favs anyway :P
My favorite body washes are from Dove and Nivea. Shampoo and conditioner, I don't usually buy them from the drugstore, but if I have to I'll go and buy a Nivea one or Garnier Ultra Suave which I don't know if it's sold where you live \:

Shampoo: currently loving the pure range by Sammy (orange bottle) alternate with Tresemme Body (pink/blck bottle)
Conditioner: Aussi 3 min miracle or the Anti-Frizz one (amazing!) but if you have fine hair it might not be for you
Scrub: Neutrogena but don't sell it in the UK
Shower gel: LOVE the Body Shop ones, I like the lemony\orangey scent (satsuma I think that it's called)
Let us know which ones you go for in the end!

The newly revamped Pantene line is great since it's individualized for your hair thickness and concerns. I've really enjoyed the medium thick line. As for body wash, Olay is the most underhyped brand but I love them. Especially Olay Moist. Their body washes are so creamy and moisturizing. I like them more than The Body Shop and stores like that. Body scrub I just use St. Ives Apricot Scrub

Hey sweety! Sounds like you're gonna have your hands full with the little one! I bet he's a wee cutie pie! I really recommend Tresemme conditioner....especially the thermal protection one! For shampoo I really liked L'Oreal Elvive Restore 5 I think it's called?? The one Cheryl Cole does the ad for. It made my hair feel really strong and thick....the only downside is my hair gets greasy quite quickly and this is quite moisturising so doesnt help. Dry shampoo on the 2nd day sorts you out tho!

I'm using passionfruit body wash at the mo. I really like it...it's very thick and has lasted me ages. Wish the fragrance lingers tho! xxxx

if you have color treated hair stay away from anything with sulfates. I did a test to see if shampoo was all the same and herbal essence was actually one of the worst for color fading. So it really depends on your hair type/needs But hands down pureology is my fav. Happy shopping :)

Awesome recommendations! I printed this page off to take with me when I was shopping... and left it on the kitchen counter (DOH!) But I've ordered quite a few products online and picked up a couple today. Gonna do a post on what I like best - looks like The Body Shop is as popular is ever! :)
