Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

Best for : Oily skin

Why : This Gives a fantastic matte finish which actually holds up well against greasy skin that’s determined to ensure you have a ridiculously oily t-zone by lunch time (yep, been there plenty of times)

Coverage : Medium. Depending on the rest of the makeup I intend to wear sometimes only a matte finish will do. I love how I can get up with horrible greasy skin, wash my face, apply this and know that I’ll still look shine-free by the time I leave work at 5pm. Also feels very light on the skin so I'm not in a hurry to take this off as soon as I know I wont be leaving the house for the rest of the evening

Price : Around £5.99

Other stuff : This is fragrance free and contains chamomile and cucumber so is great for sensitive skin. The squeezy tube is good for getting the exact amount of product so there’s very little chance of wasting any :)

I really want to check this out. I use the Stay Matte powder and I love that, so maybe this would work for me too! It's good to hear that it feels light. Thank you for the review :)

I use this plus the Stay Matte powder. They work wonders together.

Hmm I've never tried Rimmel but this might be exactly what I need! How are their shade choices. do they go more pink or yellow?

I've tried this foundation multiple times and it's definitely on my 'regret buying' list. I have oily skin and it didn't stay matte at all.

Kisses, Melanie

Thanks for your comments folks :)

Susalie I love the Stay Matte powder too! I’ve found that the liquid and powder work great together, especially now the weather has improved and my skin has decided to be extra shiny :)

Emily♥ 에밀리 ♥エミリー I’ve only tried 2 of the shades and they were both slightly more pink toned. I generally opt for pink undertones and my sis goes for yellow yet we both love this foundation so it’s definitely a pretty good all-rounder!

Madlen there’s nothing more annoying that buying a shade that doesn’t suit you :( If I had a pound for every product I’ve had to give away or dump over the years I’d have enough for a whole new makeup collection ♥

Beauty meets Kawaii that’s a shame :( must be annoying considering it’s designed specifically for keeping the skin shine free! If you haven’t tried it already I’d recommend Revlon Colorstay for oily/combination skin… I’ve always found it works wonders when I’m a bit oily :)
