Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

Best for : Dry skin

Why : This is extremely hydrating and doesn’t “set” in the same way that a lot of foundations do so I never have to worry about it drying and then gathering and caking around the already dry patches of my skin

Coverage : Medium/full. Although I love the actual coverage, which does a good job of hiding blemishes and dark circles, I’ve also found that this leaves a dewy finish to the skin so if I’m particularly oily (often the case with my annoying t-zone) then I just look greasy. Also tends to sink into my pores after a few hours so if my pores are being problematic and noticeable I definitely don’t opt for this foundation! I like the texture which is seriously creamy and very easy to blend

Price : Around £8.99

Other stuff : The variety of shades available is a bit rubbish. I know this is supposed to adapt to your skin tone and work with your natural colouring but there are only 6 shades available and I dunno about you but I can’t really see how everyone falls into one of only 6 skin colours! The SPF 15 is a nice bonus though :)

I've been wondering about this foundation, thanks for the review! I might have to give it a shot because I'm very dry. Did you find it turning orange on you? I'm afraid other Rimmel foundations have left a bad taste in my mouth because they all go incredibly, BADLY orange on me! :-/

I just tried this and like it so far. It does have a strong scent, but great coverage. And so far, it doesn't seem to oxidize on me. I like this better than the new Clean Finish foundation.

Femputer I’m the same when it comes to a lot of foundations… even though I buy the lightest shade in a range it’ll often look bright orange cos I’m seriously pale… thankfully this one didn’t have that effect and the palest version looks really natural on ♥
