Bargain makeup and EOTD

Know what I love? Bargain makeup brands that I can treat myself to without that guilty feeling I get after spending £15 on 1 eyeshadow!

Don’t get me wrong, I adore a lot of the high-end brands as much as the next makeup junkie but sometimes I just want something inexpensive that looks great. For me the cheapest and most reliable range at the minute has to be MUA from Superdrug. £1 per item!?!? First time I saw that I was sure I’d read the price wrong

Anywho, I wanted to share a few of my favourites and figured I may as well apply them and take some snappy snaps instead of doing swatches

MUA liquid liner in shade 3 £1.00
Natural Collection lash definition mascara in black £1.99
2true twist n line eye definer in white £1.95
Mini No7 Stay perfect eyeliner (free with purchase) full size costs £8.75

My favourite MUA eyeshadows from top left; 11 pearl, 17 matt, 2 pearl, 9 pearl and 5 pearl

Simple every day look that takes about 2 minutes to do... I love the MUA gold liner almost as much as my GOSH and Urban Decay ones More colourful look that I wear most days - I vary the colours of course but I like using shades that clash cos I'm not a big fan of matchy matchy looks :)

Do you have any favourite cheaper drugstore brands that you love as much as your more expensive goodies? ♥

Right I'm off to meet Adryen; we're going to a greasy soon cafe for some chips. Possibly not the most glamourous night out but there's a big open fire which makes the place really cosy :)

Oooh I like seeing your eyes!! I thought you were some mystical person, 'cause I don't think I've seen a pic of you yet >< LoL
I like the gold one, but I think the colour one has more of an edge to it ^^ They look pretty good quality to me!

Lovely products and great EOTD! I still haven't found this brand, I've been to 3/4 superdrugs and just can't seem to find it, even at canary wharf!

The MUA liners, especially the goldy one are my favourites. I've been using them since the summer and remain impressed!

I love L'oreal and maybelline as much as I love some high end brands like benefit, mac or laura mercier.. I think that they make such great products that we shouldn't pass on just because they are cheaper you know?
You have BEAUTIFUL eyes btw ;)

Ayari/Fifi I adore the NYC range too! Their liquid liner is definitely one of the best I’ve ever used and their blush/bronzer mosaic wheels kick ass!

Sindrieta I really like the Essence range but I’ve only ever got the products online cos I don’t think it’s sold here in the UK. Love their little eyeshadow quads cos the colours are incredibly pretty

Bibi I’m a tad camera shy. In fact I absolutely hate having my picture taken so this is my first step towards FOTD posts!

dazzlelight91 I completely agree! I know I’ve definitely paid £10 times as much for products that weren’t nearly as good

alysiahh I wear glasses so I always feel like I can get away with going a bit OTT with my eye makeup cos my eyes are kinda hidden :) and nothing beats a good slick of turquoise liner in my opinion!

Purdey Singleton I adore the Barry M stuff too… I’ve really enjoyed using every single product I’ve bought from the range and I’ve just discovered their lip glosses which are absolutely brill

Leah thanks very much! You know I’m not a big fan of pics of myself so this was a pretty big deal for me. Got your email about your skin care routine and I reckon that’d make a fantastic post ♥

Stacey that totally sucks. I remember having the same problem when Barry M released a liquid foundation – I went to every store I could think of and none stocked it. You could always order a few bits and pieces from the Superdrug website but I guess it’s better to try the stuff in “real life” before you go splashing out on anything. Let me know if/when you finally get your hands on the range! :)

Tessa hello and welcome! Thanks for following and commenting, it’s greatly appreciated! Just gonna have a wee nosy at your blog so thanks for the link ♥

Marisa I couldn’t agree more! My all time favourite foundations, eye liners and mascaras are all from drugstore brands and as much as I love a lot of the high-end brands I find the cheaper alternatives are often as good if not better! And thank you very much!
