Friday shopping trip

Awesome freebie in Boots

Happy Friday everyone!! Oddly I actually have my usual Friday feeling even though I haven’t been at work all week :) I’ve definitely made the most of it; there’s been lots of reading, TV watching and dog walking. Oh and the odd shopping trip too!

Popped into town today to get a few little Christmas pressies whilst the shops are still relatively quiet. Didn’t get much for myself cos I’m watching the pennies. Boots are doing one of their free gifts when you spend more than £22 and I’ve been wanting to try their new mascara so I figured it would be fairly easy to pick up something else whilst I was there

Got this Beautifully Clear Blemish Care serum, kinda hoping it’ll do what it says on the tin!

Exceptional Definition mascara in black

This is the mascara I've been lusting after... I like the brush but I've only tried it a couple of times; love it so far but I find it's really hard to judge a mascara until I've used it for a while :)
Hope you have a fantabulous weekend! I'm off to a friends to watch a film or two... Should be a nice quiet night. Living life on the edge! :)

I've been eyeing up that free gift from No 7 for a little while now too :) That mascara is really good by the way, it's what I use now and because of the different brushes you can clear away clumps :) Such an awesome haul you have there and glad you had a good shopping trip :)

hi Joy, I see you are using Boots No 7 products, I have only tried the primer (the white one) and I find it very difficult to use... does it have any trick I don`t know about? :)

Irene I will do! Kinda disappointed with the mascara so far :( Dont wanna write it off just yet so I’m gonna give it a week or two to see if my opinion changes

Nic I couldnt agree more! The Extreme Length mascara has been a firm favourite of mine for AGES so you’ll understand my disappointment when I discovered that the little free mascara is.... blue!! Honestly what would make them giveaway blue mascara!?! I was not a happy chappy

20 York Street I certainly will because I have seriously high hopes for my new goodies so shall be keeping notes on whether or not they actually work :)

Bibi the adorable little pouch came with it so I was well pleased cos it’s actually pretty good quality – though small enough that I’ll probably never find a use for it!

Siginutz is it the No7 Colour Calming Primer you’re using? Unfortunately I havent liked any of the no7 primers I’ve tried. The Colour Calming one has such an awful texture and I find it actually makes my makeup more difficult to apply instead of easier! If you’re after a really good primer I definitely recommend the L’Oreal Anti-Shine Mattifying Primer. Works a treat for me and only costs £9.99 (Oh and there are also anti-redness and anti-dull versions of the same product)
